The emphasis of this review is both the geometric realization of the 2-point velocity correlation tensor field Bij (x,x′,t) and isometries of the correlation space K3 equipped with a (pseudo-) Riemannian metrics ds2(t) generated by the tensor field. The special form of this tensor field for homogeneous isotropic turbulence specifies ds2(t) as the semi-reducible pseudo-Riemannian metric. This construction presents the template for the application of methods of Riemannian geometry in turbulence to observe, in particular, the deformation of length scales of turbulent motion localized within a singled out fluid volume of the flow in time. This also allows to use common concepts and technics of Lagrangian mechanics for a Lagrangian system (Mt, ds2(t)), Mt ? K3. Here the metric ds2(t), whose components are the correlation functions, evolves due to the von Kármán-Howarth equation. We review the explicit geometric realization of ds2(t) in K3 and present symmetries (or isometric motions in K3) of the metric ds2(t) which coincide with the sliding deformation of a surface arising under the geometric realization of ds2(t). We expose the fine structure of a Lie algebra associated with this symmetry transformation and construct the basis of differential invariants. Minimal generating set of differential invariants is derived. We demonstrate that the well-known Taylor microscale λg is a second-order differential invariant and show how λg can be obtained by the minimal generating set of differential invariants and the operators of invariant differentiation. Finally, we establish that there exists a nontrivial central extension of the infinite-dimensional Lie algebra constructed wherein the central charge is defined by the same bilinear skew-symmetric form c as for the Witt algebra which measures the number of internal degrees of freedom of the system. For turbulence, we give the asymptotic expansion of the transversal correlation function for the geometry generated by a quadratic form.  相似文献

We investigate the lepton flavor violation processes pp→eμX induced by R-parity violating interactions at the Tevatron hadron collider. The theoretical calculation and Monte Carlo simulation demonstrate that with a set of suitable cuts on experimental observables, one might be capable to reduce the standard model physical background to a controllable level so that the signals of R-parity violating interactions could be detected distinctively. Furthermore, clear sneutrino information can be abstracted from the purified event sample where other SUSY scalar quark ``pollution' is heavily suppressed. We conclude that with a reasonable assumption of 10 fb-1 integrated luminosity, the experiments at the Tevatron machine would have potential to discover sneutrino in the region of m_{\tilde{ν}}≤400 GeV via lepton flavor violation eμ production channels, or extend the mass scale constraint up to m_{\tilde{ν}}≥ 550 GeV at 95% CL.  相似文献

In the minimal supersymmetric standard model with R-parity violation, the lepton number violating top quark interactions can contribute to the top pair production at a linear collider via tree-level u-channel squark exchange diagrams. We calculate such contributions and find that in the allowed range of these R-violating couplings, the top pair production rate as well as the top quark polarization and the forward-backward asymmetry can be significantly altered. By comparing the unpolarized beams with the polarized beams, we find that the polarized beams are more powerful in probing such new physics.  相似文献

鉴于激光陀螺温度误差模型的非线性和时变性,从提高模型辨识质量的需要出发,运用基于最小概率DWO(直接加权优化)的非线性系统辨识方法进行激光陀螺温度误差模型辨识研究,提出了一种精度更高的激光陀螺温度误差模型。该模型以带宽作为唯一需要确定的模型参数,避免了以往温度误差模型研究中的结构与参数辨识等复杂问题,从而在保证模型辨识质量的基础上,也相应提高了模型的适应能力,并通过两种温度误差特性有显著区别的激光陀螺(四频差动激光陀螺和二频机抖激光陀螺)的温度实验数据验证了该模型的正确性和适应性。  相似文献

The observation of neutrino oscillations requires new physics beyond the standard model (SM).A SM-like gauge theory with p lepton families can be extended by introducing q heavy right-handed Majorana neutrinos but preserving its SU(2)L x U(1)y gauge symmetry.The overall neutrino mass matrix M turns out to be a symmetric (p+q) x (p+q) matrix.Given p>q,the rank of M is in general equal to 2q,corresponding to 2q non-zero mass eigenvalues.The existence of (p-q) massless left-handed Majorana neutrinos is an exact consequence of the model,independent of the usual approximation made in deriving the Type-I seesaw relation between the effective p x p light Majorana neutrino mass matrix M,and the q x q heavy Majorana neutrino mass matrix MR.In other words,the numbers of massive left- and right-handed neutrinos are fairly matched.A good example to illustrate this "seesaw fair play rule"is the minimal seesaw model with p = 3 and q = 2,in which one masslese neutrino sits on the unbalanced seesaw.  相似文献

In this paper we present an algorithm which, for a given (sparse) matrix, constructs a partition of its set of row-indices, such that each subset of this partition (except the last one obtained) contains indices which correspond to mutually orthogonal rows. We then use such decompositions in some classes of block-projections methods, previously extended by the author to general inconsistent linear least-squares problems. The Skilled Workforce Project Scheduling Problem (SWPSP) is a complex problem of task scheduling and resource assignment that comes up in the daily management of many company Service Centres (SC). The SWPSP considers many real characteristics faced daily by the SC: client-company service quality agreements that establish maximum dates for the beginning and the end of tasks with penalties for delays, criticality levels indicating the client-priority in processing each task, generalized precedence relationships that can produce cycle structures, time period and percentage time lags and variable task durations depending on the worker executing the task. Furthermore, the SC workforce is made up of specialist workers characterised by efficiency levels showing their efficiency and speed executing the several types of tasks.
